RAAF medical personnel conduct an Aeromedical Evacuation exercise on board a C-27J Spartan out of Andersen Air Force Base, Guam. Exercise Cope North 2018 (CN18) is conducted over the period 10 Feb – 02 Mar 18 at Andersen Air Force Base (AFB) Guam and the Commonwealth of Northern Marianas Islands (CNMI) of Rota, Tinian and Saipan. This is the eighth consecutive year that the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) has participated in the CN series of exercises. It is a Commander Pacific Air Forces (COMPACAF) sponsored, USAF led trilateral field training exercise (FTX) involving the United States Air Force (USAF), Navy (USN), Marine Corps (USMC), Japan Air Self Defence Forces (JASDF), and the RAAF. CN18 is a Large Employment Force (LEF) Air Combat Exercise with Dissimilar AirCombat tactics and a Humanitarian Assistance/Disaster Relief (HADR) exercise phase.
