Air Force's support for White Ribbon campaign (1.29 mins)
A pair of 4.3-metre-tall White Ribbons have been applied to the fuselage of a No. 36 Squadron (36SQN) C-17A Globemaster III transport aircraft, signalling Air Force's support for the campaign to end men's violence against women. For the unveiling, the C-17A conducted a flypast of the Gold Coast and Brisbane on July 31, coinciding with 'White Ribbon Night', an initiative intended to raise awareness for the charity. White Ribbon Australia is focused on changing attitudes and behaviours that lead to and perpetuate men’s violence against women. Air Mobility Group, the arm of Air Force which manages 36SQN, is currently seeking White Ribbon Australia workplace accreditation across its squadrons and units.
